川崎大師 Kawasaki Daishi Temple Omamori — Shipped to the US
Also written Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji, Heikenji, Kawasaki-daishi.

A Shingon Buddhist temple founded in 1128 and one of the best-known places in Japan to pray for protection from misfortune (yakuyoke). Every New Year, it ranks among the three most visited temples and shrines in the country.
Can I buy Kawasaki Daishi Temple omamori online from outside Japan?
Kawasaki Daishi's own online shop ships within Japan only, so there is no way to have its charms sent to a US address directly from the temple.
Tokyo Omamori Post is an independent shop, not the official store of Kawasaki Daishi Temple or any temple or shrine. We obtain Kawasaki Daishi Temple charms through the temple's own shop in Japan, then send them to US addresses ourselves, with US import duties included in the price. Standard shipping is $8 (free on 3+ charms), and express EMS shipping is $25 — see shipping & duties for details.
According to temple tradition, a samurai named Hirama Kanenori, living in exile as a fisherman after being falsely accused, was guided by a dream to cast his net into the sea — and pulled up a wooden statue of Kobo Daishi, the monk who founded Shingon Buddhism. He cared for the statue devotedly, his misfortune lifted, and he was able to clear his name and return home. The temple (formally Heikenji) grew from that statue.
Its fame spread across Japan in the Edo period, when the 11th shogun, Tokugawa Ienari, came here to pray for protection in his unlucky year. Ever since, people in their yakudoshi (traditionally unlucky ages) have come to Kawasaki Daishi.
Today millions of people visit in the first three days of each New Year. The temple is also famous for road safety: its car charms and stickers are a familiar sight on cars all over Japan.
