Privacy policy
Effective September 24, 2026.
This policy explains how Tokyo Omamori Post (see Seller information) handles your personal information.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you ordered. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write.
- When you browse: the pages you visit, your approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived (for example, from an ad), collected by Google Analytics using cookies. If you order, the order amount is recorded too.
How we use it
To process payment, pack and ship your order, prepay your import duties, reply to your messages, prevent fraud, meet our legal and tax obligations, and understand which pages and ads work so we can improve the shop.
Who we share it with
Only with the services we need to run the shop, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention
- Japan Post — delivery (name, address, phone, contents)
- Zonos — prepaying US import duties (name, address, contents and value)
- Cloudflare — hosting this site and forwarding our email
- Google — site analytics and ad measurement
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the ad measurement described above. We may disclose information if required by law.
We are based in Japan, and these services may process your information in Japan, the United States or other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 7 years to meet Japanese tax and secondhand dealer record-keeping rules, and emails for as long as needed to help you. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
You can turn off analytics for this browser below. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. Our site does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them; please use the button below or Global Privacy Control instead.
Your US state privacy rights
Depending on your state, you may have rights under state privacy laws (for example California's CCPA/CPRA) to know, access, delete or correct your personal information, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell your personal information and do not knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, other than the ad measurement described above. To make a request, email us; we will not discriminate against you for making one.
Children
This shop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
